My Background

I grew up in Lake Jackson, Texas, and  my love for sports training and human physiology grew while playing football. I attended Baylor University, where I earned a Bachelor of Sciences  in Exercise Physiology. There, I deepened my passion for strength and conditioning , plus the added bonus of meeting my future wife!  After earning my doctorate of physical therapy  at University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, I began working in an outpatient private practice in Dallas. I quickly discovered that treating patients involved much more than what I had learned in school. I felt drawn to orthopaedic injuries specifically, and desired to learn more. Six months later, I entered into the Institute for Athlete Regeneration's combined residency and fellowship program. During my time in Dallas, I developed a new passion for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, which contributed to my mental and physical growth. We later moved to Nashville for my wife's residency program, where I honed my new fellowship skills.

Indy Henderson, a fellowship-trained and board certified physical therapist at PTxSA in San Antonio.
